The most common disappointment in patients is the development of hardening of the breast after the breast augmentation operation. This is due to the body's healing process forming scar tissue around the implant which contracts and squeezes on the implant causing the breast to harden, a condition called breast capsular contracture.

Your Consultation and What to Bring

It helps to bring a photo of a breast you like so that Dr Chan or his staff can understand what you have in mind. However, we cannot promise a final result that matches exactly the appearance since we will need to use your natural breast as the starting point and this can be different to the other person.

It is also advisable to bring along a close fitting top that you like to put on when you are sizing the implant with us. Bring a coloured top, not a white or black top. A white or bright coloured top can make your breast look bigger than it actually is and a black top will make it look smaller.
