Browlift

The low position of the brow can be genetic or it slowly drops with age. This can give a sleepy, "hooded" or tired look even at a relatively young age. The frown muscles between the brows can be unintentionally overactive and give the impression of being unhappy or angry. Friends may say "Smile! What are you so worried about?" when you are not even worried.

Often the patient thinks she needs an eyelid lift. If an eyelid lift alone is performed, it may alleviate the excessive skin in the upper eyelid but the brow is still excessively low.

Forehead Lift

A forehead lift or browlift is performed with keyhole surgery. The scars are tiny and they are all hidden in the scalp. Not a single hair is shaved! The frown muscles are weakened, the eyebrow to eyelash distance is enhanced and there is less excessive skin on the upper lid, avoiding the necessity to do an eyelid operation to remove any skin and therefore there are no scars on the upper eyelid.  The eyelid looks more sculptured.

This amazing browlift or forehead lift operation therefore rejuvenates the upper half of the face, rebalances the relationship between the forehead, the brow and the eyelid complex and makes the patient look more relaxed, happier, less worried and often younger and with no obvious scars to show. Often this is all that is needed for a patient in her early forties.
