Breast Enlargement Perth, Western Australia
Both saline and silicone implants have been used in breast enlargement for over 40 years. A lot of scientific research has been conducted into the safety of these implants and to date, they have not shown these implants to cause severe health problems. Breast implants do not cause breast cancer.
Tailoring Breast Enlargement to Meet Your Requirements
All patients are of differing heights and shapes. Breasts come in different shapes and sizes with different degrees of droop.
Breast Enlargement implants are filled with saline or made of different textures of silicone and come in different sizes and shapes. Two patients of similar build can have quite different preferences and expectations. So obviously, each breast enlargement operation has to be tailored to the individual patient.
You must be given a good understanding of your options:
- What size implant will suit my build?
- What type of implant shall I use?
- Should I have the operation through the armpit or areolar or shall I go through the crease below my breast?
Professional and artistic guidance from your breast enlargement surgeon will help you make the right choices in order to maximise your results that best fulfils your expectations.
What is the Most Common Disappointment of Breast Enlargement?
The most common disappointment of patients is the development of hardening of the breast after the breast enlargement operation. This is due to the body's healing process forming scar tissue around the implant which contracts on the implant causing the breast to harden. This condition is called breast capsular contracture.
One of our main priorities is to minimise this and create a breast that not only looks good but feels and behaves as naturally as possible. We have a strategy that significantly decreases the incidence of this breast hardening problem.
A Free Preliminary Consultation with a Patient Educator
At Dr Chan's Aesthetic Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Institute we offer all patients requesting breast enlargement a free one-on-one discussion with our patient educators before they see Dr Chan. The breast enlargement educators can give you information, explain the options and show you photographs of similar patients who have had the breast enlargement operation. They will happily answer your questions and give you a good idea as to the costs involved.
Even if you have done a lot of research on breast enlargement it is wise to avail yourself of this free preliminary breast enlargement consultation when you can try on different sized implants to get an idea of what suits you.
You can then take your time to think about your options in an informed way. Having this preliminary information also helps you in your understanding when you have your consultation with Dr Chan.
