The only way to permanently enlarge a breast is with the use of breast implants inserted through a small incision and placed behind the breast tissue to project it forward and to increase its dimensions. It will not only enlarge the breast but also enhance the shape.  External padding, push up bras and wonder bras will not achieve the natural appearance of a breast without clothes on.

Both saline and silicone breast implants have been used in breast enhancement for over 40 years. A lot of scientific research has been conducted into the safety of these implants and to date, they have not shown these implants to cause severe health problems. Breast implants do not cause breast cancer.

What is the Most Common Disappointment of Breast Enhancement?

The most common disappointment of patients is the development of hardening of the breast after the breast enhancement operation. This is due to the body's healing process forming scar tissue around the implant which contracts on the implant causing the breast to harden. This condition is called breast capsular contracture.

One of our main priorities is to minimise this and create a breast that not only looks good but feels and behaves as naturally as possible. We have a strategy that significantly decreases the incidence of this breast hardening problem.

Your Breast Enhancement Consultation and What to Bring

It is advisable to bring along a close fitting top that you like to put on when you are sizing the implant with us. Bring a coloured top, not a white or black top. A white or bright coloured top can make your breast look bigger than it actually is and a black top will make it look smaller.

It also helps to bring a photo of breasts you like so that Dr Chan or his staff can understand what you have in mind. However, we cannot promise a final result that matches exactly the appearance since we will need to use your natural breast as the starting point and this can be different to the other person.
