Labioplasty Procedure

It is not commonly known that something can be done about unsightly and excessively long labia which can be an embarrassment to the patient particularly during intimate moments. Sometimes the labia minora (small or inner labia) can be protruding even with the legs together.

Surgery to trim the labia must be performed meticulously to get the best result. Often it is considered a cosmetic operation and therefore fine judgment on the part of the surgeon is very important.

The operation is not very painful, just a bit sore for three to four days. It is generally performed under a general anesthesia as it is a very sensitive part of the body. The patient can be a day patient of can choose to stay overnight particularly if she has hospital insurance as an item number can be assigned to the operation which means that the operation is not totally cosmetic.
